Introduction

In Oxford, England, there is a brand-new university called Oxford Brookes. Its beginnings can be traced back to 1865, the year the former Oxford School of Art was founded. In 1992, the university's name was changed to John Henry Brookes University in his honor. One of the largest in Britain is the school of architecture at the university.
