Introduction

In the South West of England, there is a public institution called Plymouth University. It also has a public university. Although the university's main campus is located in Plymouth, Devon, South West England is home to numerous other campuses and affiliated colleges. The formal name and legal title of the institution continues to be "University of Plymouth," despite the fact that it has been known as Plymouth University since June 2011 as a result of a rebrand. The Queen's Anniversary Prize was given to the University of Plymouth in 2019 in appreciation of our groundbreaking studies and their influence on policy about microplastic pollution in the oceans. The University has received a Queen's Anniversary Prize three times, honoring quality, innovation, and public benefit. In 2012, the University received recognition for the depth and quality of its marine and maritime research, teaching, and training. In 1994, the university also received recognition for improving rural people' access to higher education.
