Introduction

A public research university with a focus on the arts, design, humanities, and social sciences is called Goldsmiths University of London. In the University of London, it is a constituent college. The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths established it as Goldsmiths' Technical and Recreational Institute in New Cross, London, in 1891. In 1904, the University of London bought it, and the new name of the institution was Goldsmiths' College. The term "College" was removed from its branding in 2006, although the institution's official legal name is still "Goldsmiths' College," complete with the apostrophe. https://www.gold.ac.uk/preparation/what-course-is-right-for-me/
