Introduction

Because it offers education and training that is focused on careers, University College Birmingham, located in the center of the UK's largest regional metropolis, is highly regarded by companies and business.

With an expanding range of apprenticeships, UCB specializes in vocational education in both the higher education and further education sectors.

Our reputation for excellence makes the University a popular choice for international students, who come to us from more than 60 different countries, and the majority of our undergraduate degrees are accredited by the University of Birmingham, one of the top-ranked academic institutions in the world. We are dedicated to giving all of our students access to the best facilities, and we are spending £100 million on a comprehensive programme of upgrades that will solidify our reputation for excellence.

Industrial placements

All of the university's courses provide students the chance to gain work experience, and many degree-level courses also offer students the chance to complete a 48-week paid placement in the middle of the term. The type of organization the student chooses to work for reflects both their interests and the program's requirements; for instance, hospitality students may opt to work for contract or retail caterers, hotels, restaurants, country clubs, theme parks, conference and exhibition venues, leisure centers, or other similar establishments.

While many students complete their internships in the UK, there are also numerous possibilities available every year in other parts of Europe, the US, and Canada. Students typically work in a variety of divisions to experience various aspects of the business firsthand.
