Welsh-speaking Aberystwyth Institution, often known as Prifysgol Aberystwyth, is a public research university. A founding Member Institution of the previous Federal University of Wales was Aberystwyth. The University's three main faculties, which are the arts, social sciences, and sciences, each have over 7,500 students.
