The University of East Anglia, also known by its initials UEA, is a public research university in Norwich, England. The university was founded in 1963 and consists of 4 colleges and 28 schools of study. The university campus is about 320 acres (1.3 km2) in size and is located to the south-west of Norwich. The University was ranked third in the United Kingdom and tenth overall among universities under 50 years old in 2012.
