The University of East Anglia, also known by its initials UEA, is a public research university in Norwich, England. The university was founded in 1963 and consists of 4 colleges and 28 schools of study. The university campus is about 320 acres (1.3 km2) in size and is located to the south-west of Norwich. The University was ranked third in the United Kingdom and tenth overall among universities under 50 years old in 2012. The university was most recently ranked 16th by The Complete University Guide, 20th by The Guardian, and 14th by The Times and Sunday Times in national league tables for the UK.
